Shenzhen News reports that D-Robotics announced a US$400 million Series C round on September 17, led by Mirae Asset with participation from Meituan and other investors. The company plans to expand its Sunrise chip portfolio and build software covering data collection, model training, simulation, and inference deployment.

The report says cumulative Sunrise chip shipments exceeded eight million. That figure concerns chips across the company’s product portfolio; it is not a count of humanoid robots. The funding supports the infrastructure used by robot developers, rather than a newly announced robot model.
